DISTAS 2020

This year’s Rotary District Assembly is a momentous event because it would be a first in the District 3790 to be done via Zoom. The task is given to Rotary Club of Baguio Summer Capital which President Carlito Villanueva gladly accepted. To make this a successful staging, he asked his fellow club members to help out. In this undertaking, Past President Jose Antonio Baltazar was appointed as  Chairman of the event and to support him is Director Delfin Tokiyas, an IT specialist. With them on the helm and the support of other members, PDG Rolando Villanueva and PP Josef Angelo Martires did the hosting  together with the District Training Team. Also a first is the very turn out of attendees numbering to about one thousand five hundred. It was also shown live on Facebook and Youtube which made it more successful since it was viewed by many other Rotarians from other Districts as well as in other countries.

DISTAS is an event that formally introduces incoming Presidents and officers for each Rotary Year. As for this year’s theme: “Rotary Opens Opportunities”.
